My parents will be here in less than two hours. I can't sleep. I'm so excited they are coming to visit. I'm so happy we get to spend Easter together. I'm ecstatic that they will get to play with L. for an entire week.
She's been talking about it for day.
G-Mama and Poppa going to be here when I wake up in my bed on Sunday? Going to baseball game with G-Mama and Poppa?
She came up with those names herself. Just in case you were wondering.
And here I sit. Counting down the hours and the minutes. Waiting. Thinking.
My parents are going to be amazed by how much she's grown. They've seen pictures and we've Skyped but it's not the same as seeing her in person and hearing her talk and watching her play. She's changed so much in six months.
It's got me thinking about what a long way we've come since she was a baby. Just a year ago I wrote this post. A year ago I never could have imagined I'd have a child who sleeps through the night in her own bed. Knock on wood.
We've come a long way.
Happy Easter weekend. I hope you're enjoying some wonderful family time.
P.S. I felt this post should have a picture of flowers since it's almost Easter. I took that picture while on a hike last time we saw my parents. It seemed like a good choice for a flower picture today.
